Personal Assessment – The Career Plan

“If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up somewhere else”

Mark MacCormack

Knowing where you are going is the key to your future. You need to have a clear understanding of your personality, your interests, your motivation, what you are good at and what matters to you in life. All these areas need to be considered when developing your career plan.

Basically there are three questions that need to be answered:

1. Where am I now?

2. What am I good at?

3. What do I want to do?

The basis for this plan is a detailed written report, based on well researched questionnaires, which give a detailed assessment of people’s job interests, abilities, skills and personal qualities which are clearly defined and profiled.

This report is then discussed in detail with a consultant helping you to decide which realistic options are possible.

Most people spend more time planning their annual holiday than they do about their career.
